Love the Gambit Series

I have just started reading the Red Gambit series of books and find that they are very well written and I am really enjoying them. As an ex CPO in the Royal Navy and also having served in the Merchant Navy I have a great interest in Historical Books both Fiction and Non- Fiction especially when it comes to Naval Novels.

Born in West Texas raised in Northwest Arkansas. Drop out school and joined USMC at 17. Making a career, I retired and moved back to NW Arkansas and jumped back in uniform as law enforcement officer. Retiring again I found fishing, golfing and alternative history books really enjoyable.

Been wargaming since '76 when an SPI game about the next war in Europe caught my attention.

I play Napoleonic period, 7 Years War, American Civil War, Britian's Colonial Wars, World War 2, and airplanes in any conflict.

I read even more, espcially good alternative history as well as Science Fiction (DO NOT call it Si Fi to me), some Fantasy, and some Contemporary.

Enjoying the Red Gambit series very much and hope to stage some games in 1/285th Scale in the near future.
